Health and Sports Nutrition Rules - NEW-

By: Dr. Kofi

1. Ask if the product is SAFE; then ask if it is EFFECTIVE.
2. If it is SAFE and EFFECTIVE, then it is worth the money.
3. DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE. Most products you see on the market has nothing to do with the muscle-bound guy or girl pictured with it. More often than not, they are taking numerous other products including, anabolic steroids, growth hormones, or some form of illegal substance.
4. Supplements don’t work by themselves. They can help you reach your goal sooner if used appropriately. However, there is a difference between reaching your goal sooner, and reaching your goal sooner and HEALTHY at the same time. I believe that only PREMIUM quality supplements developed by a knowledgeable healthcare professional can help you achieve both goals.
5. Use premium supplements developed with ingredients that enhance your body's biochemistry to improve your athletic performance and overall health and wellbeing.
6. Remember, if you give your body anything it can make efficiently by itself, your body will STOP making it. For example, if you inject testosterone or its derivatives into your body, it will switch off testosterone production because your body thinks you have enough or too much. That is why there is testicular shrinkage associated with anabolic steroid use. Learn more about the side effects of anabolic steroid use in my previous article.
7. MORE IS NOT BETTER- If you don’t need mega-doses of any product, don’t use it. If you need it, ask your doctor why, because you may need more than just a nutritional supplement.
8. Just because a product is NEW doesn’t mean it is Good or Better than what is already on the market. Most new products are usually the same as what is already on the market with a “NEW” marketing GIMMICK.
9. Just because a product contains a “good” active ingredient does not mean that the product is good. More often than not, the AMOUNT of that “good” active ingredient is too much or too little. If the amount is too little, the product is useless; if the amount is too much, the product will produce adverse effects which far out-weighs the proposed benefit of the products. I was amazed to see product that contain 20mg of each amino acids your body needs, when the body needs amounts in grams (1000 times more)
10. If the developer of your weight loss product (or any product) looks more obese than you, the product is probably useless. After all he/she should be using his/her own product; right?
11. If you take more pills everyday than your grandma, you should never brag about how strong you are; because grandma is healthier than you!!

I welcome any comments, suggestions, and/or objections anyone may have concerning this article. Please email me at DrKofi@koflexsports.com with suggestions of topics would like me to discuss here.

Thanks for your time, and remember to use premium supplements to “SCULPT YOUR MASTERPIECE.”
